i'm currently looking for players of the game alter eon, and was wondering if any of you zoners are on there.
for you other people, if you're intrested in trying alter, please feel free to PM me. i have a soundpack for the monkeyTerm client, wich i'd be glad to send if you needed that too.
I am blindndangerous on there, but I never get on anmore. It gets old after a few rounds of combat and doing stuff.
not if you go to new places it isn't. stay in one place, sure it gets old., but if you work in group, you can go places that are really intresting.
I don't think anyone knows me on there, cept u rat. And I think that whenever I'm on your not. Though I could be wrong on that. hmmm. Gues I'll see.
O sorry, I messed up. My name on there is silenced. I think i'll be getting on a bit more, because since I don't have windows right now, and since alter won't move as quick as miriani does sometimes, I'll probably on a bit more.

Its easy to set up your character.
Conenct to the md dentinmud.org port 3010 and type the word new. Follow the instructions, and your ready to start.
if you want sound for the game, i have a soundpack as i said for the monkeyTerm client, it can help a lot in some situations
I'm Ryland on there, though I don't come on too often. Which sound pack do you have for it? I know sean randall wrote one ages ago, though I couldn't get it to work. (though to be honest I didn't try that hard.)
The one I had, was from randylaptop. Is that the one u have Rat?

hello what is this game about?
it's a game that has kind of a mid-evil theme in some ways. you try to get your levels and stats as high as you can by getting experience and stuff like that.
Its like most muds are, go here, kill the stuff, grab the loot, level up, do it again, but not all like that. Theirs all kinds of stuff u can do, I just like miriani better, that's y i don't get on much.

I actually haven't played alter but have been meaning to. I play like four different MuDs pretty frequently so I forget to check other new ones I can play. Well, lies, I don't play miriani as much as I used to. It's changed a bunch but I still play slipgate, swmud, dark forces, and revenge of the jedi.
True, Miriani has had a lot of changes over the past few months, but I can't get on because I have been using telnet. Though thanks to squigles, I'm getting one of his computers, and so one of the first few things that's going on their, is Monkey. Then, the miriani, and alter stuff, then maybe Slipgate, but I'm not that impressed with it. They took a lot of stuff from miriani, and from what I've seen they've dropped a lot of references that seem to bash miriani a lot. I'm also not fond of going around and firing at stuff. Sure, I hate it when my ships and stuff get stolen, but hey, that's life. O well, I'm ranting in the wrong topic, but I'll get on alter more after this saturday.
well, if anyone needs help starting in alter, just look me up. i'm ratking in the game, at least that's my most powerful person right now, heh

Hmmm, alter eon isn't really that great, if your not a fan of hack and slash. I mean really, there is no rp behind anything on it, its just the same kill for levels. TO me that gets boring about after a few times. In these kinds of games, there is nothing different, nothing warrenting real play.
at least it's safer than some others, you can't just go around killing and stealing everything you want
well, to each his own, to me its just more fun to take a character and flesh it out, actually develope its live with in a world with other characters, not just hack and slash killing, but if thats what you like, go ahead.
Which is y I like Miriani, that is what u can do, interact with other players, devolop your character, its not just killing, though u can't kill in that game anyway, but I've heard that in TSPM, and Stellerous you will be able to.
Well, miriani didn't have any players that roleplayed, so I wouldn't put it in that area.
well, alter has both sides of it, sure killing is a lot of it, but waht about missions? lots of killing is it not?
It's a fine game, a fine game indeed...but I like miriani better.
you cant compare alter with mirinai they are two different games in every way. miriani is space based whilst alter aeon is medieval based.
indeed...I must admit I do miss the hacking and slashing!
Anyone know if their is a pack for alter that works with VIP?
I've heard rumors of a soundpack...it might be on the actual site but I doubt it.
i have an awesome soundpack that works with mushclient. Mushclient is the best choice for a client in my opinion, since it has an easy interface, has a nice scripting configuration 1000 times better than monkeyterm's and it's accessible. if anyone here plays alter aeona nd needs the soundpack please email me at oriolgs58(at)gmail.com, since I dont check the zone very much.
